About Me

I have been helping clients for many years with a wide range of emotional health issues; including stress, depression and coping with chronic long-term conditions. I worked as a cognitive behavioural therapist (CBT) within Gloucestershire NHS for a decade, helping individuals as well as regularly running group courses for mindfulness, stress, and depression. Prior to that I managed and developed people in industry, in a career spanning two decades in human resources management across the UK and the Netherlands. In 2019 I left the NHS to move to the USA, with my husband, until the pandemic changed plans. This moment gave me an opportunity to retrain as a Breathworks mindfulness teacher. I gained accreditation in 2021. I am now an independent, accredited teacher. My passion is to help individuals improve the quality of their physical and emotional wellbeing and ultimately to gain more happiness and peace. I run the 8 week Breathworks mindfulness for Stress and Mindfulness for Health courses, as well as shorter mindfulness courses. I love running group classes, as the energy and insights from the group helps everyone. I run face to face courses as well as on-line to the general public and organisations sponsoring my input. I have recently been sponsored to run drop in mindfulness classes which have proved popular and easier for clients with busy schedules. My personal values are: action; kindness; positivity; compassion; genuineness; openness and acceptance.
