About Me

As an experienced, qualified Mindfulness teacher. I have been teaching since 2019. I trained with the Mindfulness Association and completed their two year teacher training pathway in 2020 to deliver the MBLC. Also, a qualified Spiritual Health Mentor and Spiritual Companion, with a Crossfield’s Institute Diploma in Practical Spirituality and Wellness (2018), a trained Reiki Practitioner (2022) and a previous 20+year NHS career, I have a life-long personal and professional commitment to health, wellbeing and supporting people. I bring a warm, relaxed, compassion based style, blending teaching points, formal and informal practices with effective and easy ways to bring mindfulness into day to day life. I encourage participants in building personal embodied presence through deepening their awareness of their body and breath, their senses and a felt sense of presence in the space around them. Self awareness, self compassion and exploring our innate connection with nature are key themes in my work. I offer, in person and online; COURSES MBLC – Mindfulness Based Living Course (8 week programme) Mindfulness for Menopause (6 week) Beginners Mindfulness (4/6 week) BESPOKE PROGRAMMES AND WORKSHOPS Taster sessions Short Courses Creative Mindfulness STAFF/WORKPLACE WELLBEING ONE to ONE SUPPORT WELLBEING WALKS, FOREST BATHING and NATURE CONNECTION WEEKLY CLASSES online and in Knaresborough I work with charities, employers, the general public and individuals. In addition to teaching the structured MBLC course, I have a lot of experience designing and delivering bespoke Mindful Wellbeing programmes for several regular clients including the National Trust, Orb Community Arts, Skipton Step into Action, MIND Harrogate, Yorkshire Yoga, Balance Wellness Centre, Parents for Parents and others. I would be delighted to explore how mindfulness could be delivered in an accessible, appealing and relevant way to any interested group or organisation. Passionate about the positive life changing benefits of mindfulness, helping people develop effective calming techniques, through mindful and somatic practices, create personal embodied presence in day to day life and bring more understanding and compassion to themselves and their lives, is a joy and pleasure for me. Without doubt a more mindful approach improves physical and mental health, resiliency, joy and personal appreciation and connection with life. Exploring and re-establishing our natural connection with nature through mindfulness practices is a foundation of my personal practice and teaching. “any moment spent in kind, gentle awareness of the moment and our presence within it, is a gift and a joy”
