About Me

I began mindfulness teaching in 2024 and completed my MBCT mindfulness teacher certificate with the Sussex Mindfulness Centre in 2025. I am registered to teach Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which I offer within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, in the Solent area, to people using Primary Care services for depression. I first developed an interest in mindfulness during my training as a CBT Therapist in 2010 and gradually worked towards establishing a personal daily mindfulness and meditation practice. I have attended the MBSR and MBCT as a participant and also trained to teach the MBSR, although I am not registered with BAMBA to teach MBSR as yet. I also use mindfulness-based approaches in my individual therapy, such as Compassion-focused Therapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). I continue to deepen my practice by attending yearly mindfulness retreats. My personal experience with mindfulness is what has driven me to learn to teach and share this with others.
