About Me

I have practised meditation since 1998 and hold a Masters degree in Teaching Mindfulness (with distinction) from the Centre for Mindfulness Research and Practice, Bangor University. I am also certified as an advanced teacher (MBI:TAC assessed) of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). I am registered to teach MBSR with BAMBA, and am also trained to teach both the Mindfulness for Life (MBCT-L) and Finding Peace in a Frantic World curricula, with Oxford Mindfulness Foundation. My teaching includes courses, workshops and taster sessions; either face to face, online or hybrid - both in groups and one-to-one. I have undertaken specialist training to teach mindfulness in workplace contexts with The Mindfulness Network/Bangor University, and deliver training businesses, charities and in NHS settings. Having managed quantity surveying departments in the construction industry for many years, I recognise the essential significance of wellbeing in competitive, time and resource pressured workplaces. I have completed an International Coaching Federation accredited training, and I am a Chartered Institute of Arbitration accredited meditator. The active listening, presence and inquiry skills developed through these disciplines are a helpful compliment in the collaborative learning process of a mindfulness training. I am also a Mental Health First Aider (MHFA). I teach for The Mindfulness Project, and I'm a volunteer teacher and Zoom host for the Mindfulness Network, supporting their community offerings. Mindfulness helps me to manage the pain and emotional reactivity of a chronic back condition. I value life-long learning and I'm passionate about mindfulness building resilience and empowering us to live richer, more vibrant lives.
