Hello and thank you for taking the time to read a little about me. I have had a consistant personal daily mindfulness meditation practice since 2013. I have a post graduate diploma in Studies in Mindfulness from the University of Aberdeen and started teaching the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) (Mindfulness Association MA) in 2015. I was given the opportunity as part of my teacher training pathway to undertake an eighteen-month internship with the MA and taught two courses with them in London. I also worked for the Macmillian charity for two years, delivering mindfulness insight days over the whole of the Midlands to patients and non-professional Macmillan employees. I am also trained to teach the MA's Compassion Based Living Course (CBLC). I have extensive experience (23 courses at time of writing this, August 2023) of teaching both the MBLC and the CBLC eight week courses to the general public in both group and one-to-one sessions via Zoom and face-to-face, and also offer a weekly 'drop-in' session on Tuesday evenings 8pm to 8.45pm via Zoom. This is free for anyone to attend. As well as teaching mindfulness and compassion, I also work three days a week in the NHS as a Macmillan Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist.
