About Me

I started teaching mindfulness in 2022, offering online Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) courses to the general public, counselling students and NHS staff groups. I can offer face-to-face sessions in East Devon. I am a British Hongkonger, bilingual in English and Cantonese. I began meditating while working in Japan in 2010. I am passionate about bringing mindfulness and compassion practices to wider communities especially those with multicultural and diaspora backgrounds. I value co-creating spaces and building communities for deepening connection, understanding and belonging while honouring and respecting heritage and ancestry. I am deeply committed to increase representations of people like myself, whose heritage, ethnic background and life trajectory have been underrepresented in the mindfulness learning and teaching spaces. I see practice as always relational and incredibly individual. I believe it is through practicing in communities that movements towards flourishing and healing can begin to take place. I have a background in second language teaching, medical communications and biomedical research. I am a practitioner of insight meditation, compassion practices, Insight Dialogue, pilates and chi-gung.
