About Me

Thank you for your visiting my profile page. I am a mindfulness-based teacher, living in Devon, UK. I work with individuals and groups, both online and in-person. Since 2003 I have been teaching both mindfulness and mindful yoga in various health settings, including at Exeter University where I taught Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) for a number of years. During this time I supervised and assessed students, and was part of a team leading an innovative research study, comparing the effectiveness of MBCT with anti-depressant medication, as well as a study on the benefits of compassion. I currently teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for the Mindfulness Network, a non profit organisations which works closely with Exeter and Bangor University. More recently, I have completed the foundation Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living (MBCL) and also completed the MBCT-L (Mindfulness for Life) training programme. Mindfulness-based self-compassion is a special interest for me. My passion for this has led me to create and develop my own 8-week Self-Compassion Course called ‘Your Wild & Precious Life’ which I currently offer online. My life-long passion is supporting people through embodied movement, mindfulness and self-compassion to come into a kinder, wiser more compassionate relationship with their whole selves, so they can enjoy more freedom, joy and fulfilment in their lives.
