About Me

Meditation and mindfulness have been significant in my life since the 1980s where, for 5 years I lived at the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery Samye Ling, in the Scottish Borders. The immeasurable benefits of this enriching experience and the many Tibetan masters I was privileged to learn from, inspired a long held wish to share and teach compassion-based mindfulness at a later stage in my life. I went on to enjoy a successful career as a BBC producer working mainly in education and on social issues which led me to where I am now. I am fully trained to teach by The Oxford Mindfulness Foundation and The Mindfulness Assocciation and hold an Aberdeen University P.G. Diploma in Mindfulness Studies, I teach online and in person. I offer OMF's MBCT-L, MBCT-D and FPFW courses, also MA's Mindfulness Based Living Course, (MBLC), Compassion Based Living Course (CBLC) and MBLC- YA - for Young Adults. I am also trained to teach Advanced Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness, (Dr. David Treleavan 6-month course). I work with the general public and also with third sector organisations. I have particular interest in supporting people with long-term mental health issues related to early life experiences. This often includes people with recurring depression or those perhaps, in recovery from various forms of addiction and related issues, including eating disorders.
