Communities: Youth & Education

BAMBA Youth & Education Community

Mindfulness has a growing body of evidence for effectiveness in bringing about positive outcomes for young people, and the people who care for them (Zarate, et al., 2019; Dunning, et al., 2018). In the UK, there are several organisations and programmes that are specifically designed to meet the needs of young people in a variety of contexts.

It is hoped that BAMBA can draw together these different organisations and their programmes with the aim of having a universal standard of recognition and rigour. At present BAMBA is working with these organisations to find common ground and ways forward to reach this goal. BAMBA wishes to enable those teaching mindfulness in youth and educational settings to have their training pathways and the programmes taught recognised professionally and nationally.

If you are involved in the teaching of mindfulness in youth and education settings in any way and would to be like to be involved in this process, we would love to hear from you. Please contact BAMBA at in**@ba***.uk

If you’d like to be involved with one of our community groups, we’d love to hear from you contact us here

BAMBA’s activities are only made possible through membership and voluntary support.

Should you wish to donate, your donation will be used to continue the maintenance of standards and inclusive access to mindfulness-based training in the UK.

We are grateful for your contribution to this vital work.
