I have been meditating since 1989 and was first introduced to Mindfulness in 2004. I went on to complete the 8-week MBSR myself in 2012, finding it hugely transformative and well structured, it certainly deepened my practice. In 2014 I completed the Integrating Mindfulness and Compassion (IMC) in Professional Practice Level 4 Qualification with MindfulnessUK and began teaching others, utilising my 30 year+ background in education, heath and social care, community arts and as a trained teacher (Cert Ed). This reignited my passion for training others to teach and I began teaching the IMC qualification for MindfulnessUK. I completed my MBSR Teacher Training pathway in 2019 and have been teaching the 8-week MBSR ever since and am listed on BAMBA as a MBSR teacher. I was Head of Teacher Training at MIndfulnessUK and have been instrumental in training hundreds of people to teach Mindfulness and compassion in a wide range of sectors as well as developing additional programmes of learning and CPD which has led to my current role there as Chief Experience Officer (CXO). I am thrilled that currently still have time to teach the IMC qualification and the 8-week MBSR, often with shadowers from our MBSR TT pathway. I also supervise mindfulness teachers. I am a parent carer, am neurodiverse, and bring many years of lived experience and professional expertise to the inclusive way I teach.
